Wind. Sun. Sea. Oh my!

How do I make a reservation?

Please call or email us to reserve a tour. A valid credit card is required to reserve a booking, and will be processed through PayPal/Square for authorization only, not for full payment. You will be required to pay by cash, credit or check upon the completion of your sail.

What is the cancellation policy?

50% of the tour price will be charged to your credit card on file if you cancel within 72 hours of the tour time.  If you need to cancel less than 24 hours before your tour, you will be charged the full price of the charter. If we have to cancel for any reason, you will not be charged.  We want you to have fun and be comfortable, so if there is inclement weather we will cancel within 24 hours and no fee will be charged.

What should I wear?

San Francisco Bay is beautiful, but even on a sunny day, with the windchill it can be chilly.  Our cockpit is very protected from the wind, rain and sun, and you will not get wet.  However, we recommend wearing clothes similar to what you would wear hiking on a cold east coast fall day:  several layers of tops, a windbreaker, a good warm sun hat, wool socks, and comfortable pants. Cotton clothing is not recommended as in the unlikely case you get a bit wet, you will get cold.  Wear synthetic tops, bottoms, and hat.  Please wear closed toed shoes, preferably without black soles.  High heeled shoes, flip flops, and any other slip on shoes are not permitted for safety reasons.  We have extra jackets, and blankets on board for you to keep warm.

What else should I bring?

We provide food, drinks and life jackets.  Bring your own sunglasses, hat and sunblock.  It is safe to bring your phone or video.  We have binoculars and extra hats and sunblock on board if you forget.

What's available on the boat?

Food, beverages, life jackets, warm jackets, and blankets. We also have first aid and seasickness provisions. The boat has refrigeration and is equipped with two private bathrooms and a shower.

Are there any restrictions on the boat?

No smoking or any kind of recreational drugs are allowed on board.  No pets. No high heeled shoes.

Can I bring children/dogs?

Kids are Ok.  But not your furry friends. You know your child better than anyone. But rule of thumb, children ages 7 and younger usually have a tough time on the boat. Call me for further discussion.

What about seasickness?

The boat is large and very comfortable, so unlikely that you will get mal de mer.  But to be safe, please avoid greasy or spicy foods, and heavy alcohol before you board. Some good preventative suggestions you can try before you board are: candied ginger, and pressure point wristbands, and/or Dramamine or Bonine (however, these will make you drowsy).
